Food shouldn't be anonymous. Our monthly market brings together local farmers, growers, bakers and food producers, so you can meet the people behind your food.
You can talk to the person who grew your vegetables, reared your meat, baked your bread or made your cheese. Ask questions, find out how things are produced, learn from people with first-hand experience and share what you know too.
We think that changes the way we experience food.
When you know the person producing it, food becomes less anonymous. You can understand the choices they've made, the challenges they've faced and what goes into producing it. Over time, those relationships create a different kind of trust — one built on familiarity, transparency and being able to have a conversation rather than simply relying on a label or a marketing claim.
SUPPORTING THE PEOPLE PRODUCING OUR FOOD
Selling directly to customers gives small-scale producers another way to make a living from what they produce. They get to make more of a fair trade, have a direct relationship with their customers and get to tell the story of what they're producing themselves.
The more support there is for small farms, growers and independent food businesses, the more viable they can be. That's important because a resilient food system needs more than just food. It needs people with the skills and knowledge to produce it, access to productive land, and businesses that can make a living from doing it. The more people who choose to buy directly from small local food producers we have, the stronger and more diverse our food system becomes for our community.

Theres no entry fee and producers change from month to month depending on who is available. Come for the shopping, stay for the conversations.
